Uniform Sale of Goods Law
The book, Uniform Sale of Goods Law principally tackles the legal issues arising from domestic law of sale and some areas of import and export. The inspiration was provided by the efforts made by the Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation during the military regime of the Presidency of General Babangida and through the work of Nigerian Law Reform Commission to provide a uniformity in the loaded areas of “Laws of General Application”. Our legal system is built on the American political system and the focus of the book is to have a uniformity as in the American Uniform Sales Act, thereby discouraging the disintegration of sales law and to enable the society to keep pace with modern economy in the present technological age. The book is based on the uniformity in the Federal and State Edict Law which was recommended and adopted by all the federating states in 1987.
